Theo

Owner


Theo was born and raised as the oldest of 10 siblings on a family farm near Fullarton. His interest in engines started as a young boy, he often was no where to be seen inside the house as he was usually busy working on engines in the shed.


In high school, Theo won first place in Ontario at the Skills Canada competition in the ‘Small Engines” category. After graduating, Theo worked at an automotive repair shop in Stratford as he earned his diploma from Fanshawe College and quickly passed his test to become a Licensed Automotive Technician.


Theo began his entrepreneurial journey with a one-man operation, on his family farm. In 2010 he purchased the Napa AutoPro downtown Milverton and KoertLand AutoPro was born! In 2018 Theo expanded and opened a second automotive repair shop, KoertLand AutoCare in Fullarton. Theo married his wife, Melissa in 2015.


Since then, they moved to their dream home in the country, welcomed their three children to the world, and have learned to work together in business. Theo has many hobbies, when he’s not wrenching you can most certainly find him farming, four-wheeling, snowmobiling, ice fishing, travelling, or living off the grid at his cabin near Lake Restoule.

Melissa

Bookkeeper/Service Advisor


Melissa was born and raised in Kitchener-Waterloo. She has a bachelor’s degree in Linguistics from Western University, and a post-graduate certificate from the Communicative Disorders Assistant program at Georgian College.


Melissa took over the roll of bookkeeper and occasional Service Advisor for the business shortly after Melissa and Theo tied the knot in 2015. Melissa loves her morning cappuccinos, chasing her three children around their home farm in Russeldale, and exploring different parts of the world.


Brendan

Head Technician/Manager


Brendan Barrett has always loved finding out how things work since a very young age and spent many years working on farms as well as fixing farm equipment. He started working in an automotive shop as soon as he finished high school and quickly discovered he loved fixing vehicles.


He went to Conestoga collage and Fanshawe collage for automotive service technician and graduated in 2005 with the top student award. He loves electrical, computer diagnostics, keeping with the latest advancements in vehicle technology. As well as getting to the bottom of any problem and fixing it right.


He moved to Milverton from Drayton in 2017 with his wife and five boys, since then Brendan and his wife Carole have been blessed with a baby girl. He has joined the Koertland team in 2018 and is the head technician/manager at Koertland Milverton. He loves spending time with his family, playing the fiddle, hunting, camping, and going on trips with his family.

Brady

Technician


Brady is Koertlands’ hometown boy. He was born and raised here in Milverton. Brady started working on vehicles when he started high school. In grade 12 he received the Automotive Tech of the Year Award. He joined the team at KoertLand fresh out of high school and continued to work here as he completed the Automotive Technician Apprenticeship Program at Fanshawe College.


Brady is your classic outdoorsman, he gets in as much fishing, camping, and travelling as he can throughout the year. His finishing interests are expansive; ice fishing, fly-fishing, deep-sea fishing, the works! When he can’t be on the water, he enjoys reading, watching movies, and gaming!

Christina

Service Advisor


Christina is from the big city and now settled down in Ontario rural town, Milverton. She purchased her first home, got married and has two of the cutest fur-babies! After graduating from the University of Guelph with her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Veterinary Behaviour Science, Christina joined the team as KoertLand automotive service advisor in 2019.


Christina would describe herself as an introvert. When she’s not working, she enjoys practicing her daily martial arts routines, reading books, watching anime, TV shows and movies, exploring exciting new restaurants and searching for the best hot sandy tropical beaches!
